We’re getting all loved up this year here at the Secret Bistro, so much so, we’re opening up for an extra night on Monday 14th February!

Whether you lovely people of Lancaster are wanting to celebrate Valentine’s day with your spouse, partner, lover, or you just want to take your Mum out for the evening, we’re here to celebrate with you!

To Start

Baked Camembert for 2 to share (V, GF*)

Baked French Camembert studded with garlic, baked bread, beetroot ketchup, roasted shallot purée, house chutney for two to share. Nothing screams Romance than stuffing each other’s face with cheese…

Lovely Tomato & Basil Soup (V, GF*)

Our Lovely, creamy, homemade Tomato and Basil Soup with a fancy Welsh rarebit crouton.

Tipsey Salmon (GF*)

It’s true that gin goes with everything – Home-cured Salmon steeped in beetroot & orange-infused gin, baked crouton, horseradish cream & a zingy lemon syrup.

Earth Scallops (Vegan, GF*)

Pan-roasted mushroom “scallops”, with beetroot purée, salsa verde, finished with a walnut crumb. Proof that fungi can be fun.

16oz Fillet of Cumbrian Tenderloin – we recommend Medium Rare)- served with our chunky triple cooked frites, thyme roasted tomatoes, pan-seared Portabella mushrooms. finished with a luscious Maderia Sauce. +£10SUPPLIMENT

Delhi-cious Kiev

A beautifully Indian spiced chicken kiev, with a spinach and potato Saag Aloo, dressed with baby coriander leaves, Garam Masala spiced chicken cracker.

Salt & Pepper Aubergine ‘Steaks’ (vegan, GF*)

Salt and pepper roasted aubergine ‘steak’, shallot purée, beetroot ketchup, butternut squash fondant and a red pepper coulis.

What’s the catch of’t day? (GF*)

Pan-RoastedCatchoftheDayfreshfishfillet-with a potato Rosti, pickled samphire, pea and ham veloute and crispy leeks on’t top. Obviously, ask us what the catch is!

The Finishers

Affogato (Vegan, GF*)

One-Shot Espresso, One Scoop of Vanilla Ice-Cream, One shot of Disaronno.
Keeps you going for a couple of hours – giggidy. Dairy-free available.

White Chocolate Creme Brulee (Vegan, GF*)

Oh, hello! Creamy, smooth white chocolate, and raspberry brûlée with a side of our homemade shortbread for ultimate dunking. See also: Creme Brulee – Voodoo Lady – regional Eurovision contestants 1981.

Deconstructed Dark Forest Chesecake

Laced with black forest fruits, sitting on a “buttery biscuit base”, berry coulis and shavings of dark chocolate.

Secret Bistro Sticky Toffee Pudding (V)

A sweet, date-laden sponge, smothered in toffee sauce and finished with vanilla ice cream. Plate licking permitted.
