To Start

Classic French Onion Soup (GF*) – £8

Sweet from caramelised onions, savoury from a rich beef stock. Sealed in with a Gruyere Cheese Crouton.

Salt & Pepper Duck Scotch Egg – £9

Sous Chef Jamie’s creation – Confit duck and pork meat encasing a soft-boiled hens egg, sat on a net of bean sprouts
chilli, spring onion, a sweet soy reduction. Finished with lotus root crisp. A firm favourite from our Morecambe days.

Caprese Salad (V, GF*) – £8.5

Fresh heirloom tomatoes joined together with Burrata cheese and pea shoots lashed in basil infused olive oil.

Crayfish ‘Popcorn’ – £9

Tempura style crayfish tails popcorn, with a chilli & garlic aioli, served in a gem lettuce cup.

Scallops with Mojo – £9.5

Pan seared fresh scallops, on a bed of potato dauphine, paired with Mojo Rojo & Chimmichurri, finished with blood sausage crumb.

Beef Capaccio (GF*) – £10

Fillet of peppered beef Carpaccio, cured egg yolk, a shallot and sherry vinaigrette finished with horseradish crisp. One for those who love their beef super rare.

Sweet Fig & Walnut Salad (V, GF*) – £7

Rosemary roasted fig and walnut crumb salad, with roasted
goats cheese & a sweet honey dressing.

Baked Camembert for 2 to share (V, GF) – £14

Baked French Camembert studded with garlic, baked bread, beetroot ketchup, roasted shallot purée, house chutney for two to share… or not to share. We don’t judge.

Pan Roasted Cod Loin – £17

Accompanied with heirloom tomatoes, baby potatoes, pickled samphire, Sauce Verte , sprinkled roasted pine kernels
and endive.

Pan Roasted 8oz Cumbrian Fillet Steak (GF*) – £30

8ozCumbrianFillet of Beef cooked to your liking, topped with slow-cooked beef featherblade, with a potato rosti, Irish cabbage, and a creamy peppercorn sauce. Mmmm, meaty.

Herdwick Hogget (GF*) – £18.50

Slow-cooked shoulder of Cumbrian bred Hogget, baby onion, thyme & balsamic braising jus, truffle oil & rosemary boulangere potatoes with braised seasonal veggies.

Seafood Boulillabaisse (GF*) – £18.5

Bringing a classic French fish stew to Lancaster. Haddock, Cod, Salmon, Mussels, Prawns & Squid simmered in a tomato, garlic and herb-based stew, finished with pickled capers and samphire, croutons, garlic aioli served with house frites & fresh bread.

Slow Braised Beef Featherblade – £18

Slow-cooked in a rich beefy gravy. Served with our house truffle oil & Parmesan frites, butternut squash purée, crispy
onions and a flourish of Bordelaise sauce.

Glamorgan Sausages (V) – £15

A vegetarian sausage made of Welsh Cheese and Leeks with fondant potato, braised beets and a lush port sauce.

Exquiste Chicken (GF*) – £16.5

Deliciously juicy pan-roasted chicken breast, accompanied with luxurious truffled chicken sausage, leek and potato purée, and a rosemary cream reduction. Topped with crispy chicken skin. Bernie’s favorite dish on the menu.

Earthy Root Terrine (V, Vegan) – £15

Partnered with wild mushroom Arancini, a caramelised shallot ketchup, and beetroot jus.

Porchetta (gf) – £17.5

Fillet of locally reared pork porchetta, sage, lemon and garlic stuffing, wrapped in smoked bacon, along with a caramelised apple purée, fondant potato, red wine jus & crisp pork crackling.
